HBO has ordered a half-hour pilot of Tim Robinson’s new comedy series, The Chair Company.
Per Deadline, HBO has greenlit a half-hour pilot of The Chair Company, a new comedy series co-written by Robinson and Zach Kanin. The Chair Company is executive produced by Adam McKay (The Big Short, Don’t Look Up) and Todd Schulman for Hyperobject Industries.
Robinson and Kanin also serve as executive producers on The Chair Company, which, according to Deadline, follows a man (Robinson) who investigates a “far-reaching conspiracy” after “an embarrassing incident at work.”
Further plot details are not available at this time.
The news comes just a few weeks after HBO ordered a comedy pilot starring Bottom’s Rachel Sennott. Sennott also wrote and executive produced the half-hour pilot, which is about “a codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition and new relationships have changed them.”
