V/H/S 85 Trailer Showcases More Found Footage Anthology Terror

Shudder has revealed a teaser trailer for the found footage sequel V/H/S 85 alongside a release date for the movie’s release on the streaming platform.

As ever with the series, V/H/S 85 creates an anthology mixtape of short found footage films from several notable names in modern horror, and there’s a pretty impressive lineup for this one.

The segments this time will be directed by David Bruckner (The Night House, Hellraiser), Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Black Phone), Mike Nelson (Wrong Turn), Gigi Saul Guerrero (Bingo Hell, Satanic Hispanics), and Natasha Kermani (Lucky).

The official synopsis for V/H/S 85 goes as follows,

An ominous mixtape blends never before seen snuff footage with nightmarish newscasts and disturbing home video to create a surreal, analog mashup of the forgotten 80s.

This is the sixth film in the V/H/S series which first began in 2012. Over the years it’s featured a host of genre directors such as Adam Wingard (You’re Next), Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (Scream VI), Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us), Johannes Roberts (The Strangers), and Gareth Evans (The Raid).

V/H/S 85 will be released on AMC’s Shudder on October 6, 2023.
